This is a big 'it depends' for me. Without substantive changes, I think it will devolve into a warzone again soon enough. Reality is that media has been weaponized, both as a propaganda tool and as a means of driving advertising revenue. A hate click counts the same as a click.
This has driven political viewpoints to extremes, as research shows those tend to be driven from the top down. As Monty Python might say, argument has become mere contradiction. That does not result in fruitful discussion.
I'm a 'no' in the present political climate unless there are structural changes. We're more likely to have productive conversations about Davey's aliens than politics these days. Which is both sad and frightening, if you think about it. If we can't even agree on the nature of the problems, and there's ample low-hanging fruit out there, the democratic process will never solve them.

We've missed the by elections, the revolving door of cake heads offspring, a tiny inflation fall, the commonwealth games going kaputski, there's tons of stuff ripe for debate, parody, and sheer bloody minded pisstakery that has fallen by the wayside. All because of the stinking inbred programmers that've unleashed their putin and trump supporting racism pushing bots. The only way to beat this scum is to drag it into the light and beat it to death twelve times over with bars of soap wrapped in towels, pummel and pummel and pummel some more.

If there was just a time requirement @chicoazul would just register an additional layer of sleeper accounts, ready to activate once six months or whatever timeline was passed. If it was post count related it'd at least make wanna be wums and rascals put some leg work in the EO and AH sections.

Mate, give Dan some credit. He has bought or built tech that keeps this place remarkably clear of trash accounts.
The few remaining are folks that actually believe what they are posting and a few real live people on a wind up. The last group outs themselves eventually.
The approach I try to take now, is to reply once, because like others have said elsewhere, some things need to be refuted. But I'm not going to continue to engage beyond that. It gives the WUMs more chances to be WUMs and for true believers, there's nothing I can say/post to change their mind.
@LinekersLegs is a great example (in many ways across this forum). She often doesn't reply specifically to anyone. Just posts some information that is devastating to a wums/believers post, but without engaging directly to avoid a back and forth that can take over a thread. Snide and nous of the highest order.

Bring it back; is there a way to stop people who have under so many posts actually posting in there though? I’ve no idea how player valuation works but maybe they have to have say 100 posts so there’s enough evidence they aren’t just a troll, multi or Bot
