It couldn't have happened to a nicer C yoU Next Tuesday!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Anybody ever remember a movie from the early 70's with Robert Redford and Paul Newman called: 'The Sting'?

Where they played a couple of grifters/con men who were actually charming and charismatic?

Geez like... What happened? In today's actual reality, we're stuck with complete and utter knob jockey's like this guy! 🤦‍♂️

The internet happened. Conmen used to have to operate in person, face to face with their marks, and required persuasive acting abilities.

Now it's all just about being shouty and extreme to get attention, which brings views, likes and shares. That's profitable in itself but at a certain saturation uninformed people assume there must be something to what you're saying, or they wouldn't be seeing it everywhere.

💯%, mate!

I've been watching this guy's videos on occasion. He is a serious biblical scholar. Here he reinterprets some aspiring incel's biblical arguments about women. I suppose this qualifies as "culture wars" (but not grifting) which is why I posted it here. And even with the reinterpretation you can't but help to wonder how that blatant misogyny in Timothy 2:11, even if written by an imposter of Paul and not Paul himself, is still circulating in 2024.

People use the bible to take multiple positions and contradictions are rife. People that study this understand this all to well.
People pick and choose ‘choice quotes’ (haha) to justify their actions.
