But that's my point. KENNY is an excellent crosser of the ball. One has a chance to be now than the other. Martina is what he is.

Give Kenny more time to train with the first team.

Just because he didn't play today doesn't mean he's not in anyone's plans.

You introduce players at the right time. Martina is a seasoned professional.

Kenny isn't yet.

Honestly. Some people on here are so black and white.

Reality is - the manager just doesn't think he's ready at the moment. Not, he'll never be ready.

Stop saying "trust the youth." It's quite clear Koeman trusts young players when they show what he wants them to.

Well, in what universe is it logical to not start Davies instead of new signing Klaassen?
Same goes for Holgate/Davies/Kenny at right wing back instead of new signing Cuco?

Makes no sense at all...

If two people can do the same thing pretty much exactly the same, wouldn't you give a chance to the player who can(and probably will) improve?

Timing is everything.

We pay the manager big bucks to make decisions. He's making the decision that Kenny isn't ready yet.

Manager got 3 points today.

Priority #1.

What more is Kenny supposed to show over martina? He's looked a lot more solid than him and majority of the fan base say the same, ronkoe clearly has a blind spot for his boy cuco

Davies started tons last season and will again this year. Holgate played a lot as well and is clearly still involved. DCL is 20 and started. Sandro is 22 and he started. Do they not count? We're not going to start a U23 side in the premier league. It'd be ludicrous.

I was thinking about this in between posts. Martina was literally 1% of our problems today. It's like splitting hairs. He wasn't terrible but I just don't see a future here for him.

I hope Kenny gets a sustained shot before Coleman gets back

It's fine if you think that but saying it's because Koeman doesn't like/play youth has been disproven time and again.

People might be surprised that Kenny was being held to play for the UEFA game on Thursday.

That would be an excellent game to play him in alongside some other players. Think that there will be some rotation in the midfield as well.

Although obviously the need to rotate hasn't factored into some people's heads.

Think he's very slow in giving some of the youth there chances, but no doubt he'll stick with them if they force themselves into his plans. Look at Davies last year, was long overdue being given a chance and when he did he took it and credit to moonhead he stuck with him, think it could be he same with Kenny, when he gets a proper chance I think he really stake his claim

I would agree with that as well. Arguing about Martina is really going down the rabbit hole of whinging for no reason. Of which I stand guilty myself.

There are PLENTY of other things about today to not be happy about besides him.

If Kenny is not trusted because he is a bit suspect at defending, what's the punt on having Martina? Kenny is like a Coleman clone, no? Great are going forward, bit suspect defending?

Martina is not a long term solution, why not play Kenny when doing 3 at the back as it mitigates the defensive duties of the RB
He's not a short term one either!

Put some peach crosses in.

Crossing seems to be why he's been brought in. Floats a wicked ball into the penalty area.
For who to attack? If we had signed a Giroud-type I could maybe see it but with Sandro up front Martina is completely pointless, a right back/wing back who can't defend and crosses to no one.
