Confirmed Signing Cuco Martina

I would not use any comments by Southampton supporters as an unbiased assessment of Martina as a player.

Wish Cuco all the best, he did a good job and was a reliable back up to have to Cedric. That wonder goal against Arsenal on Boxing Day 2015 was one of the very best I've seen at St Marys

Good enough to be second or third choice at a team in Europa League.

Harsh. Cuco was pretty limited, but did a surprisingly decent job in his first season.
Won't be missed, but given how little we paid for a back up player, he served his purpose. Good luck to him.

Good luck to him - was fine for the money paid and scored one of the all time great goals for Southampton.
I imagine he's fairly happy being a backup right back on 30k or so a week.

Decent back up on a free transfer who won't make a fuss when he's not playing. Makes sense

Not the most gifted of footballers but appeared to be a lovely guy, never kicked up a stink - I wish him well and hope we get more players with his attitude

With Coleman injured long term, a Europa League campaign and Holgate the only right-back they have then I can see why it makes sense for them to sign Martina. He can fill in when needed and won't expect to play much, and the management team there know him.
He 'did a job' for us and whilst he was a very limited footballer he seemed a good professional. Good luck to him.

Decent lower Prem player, no idea why he got so much grief...because Eden Hazard made him look a fool one time? Well, bugger me, every defender must be sh*t.
Weird signing for Everton though.

Saints fans say he is worse than ali dia.

Especially when you consider our lowest benchmark of player being Ali Dia, given the amount of match time he had Cucu had, 2 separate managers obviously thought something of his abilities, certainly launched a few tasty troublesome balls into the box from the wings under Koeman. Defensively certainly wasn't the worst we have had either, I remember VVD going for a sortie up field the attack broke down and the oppos were off down our left Cucu departed the right wing ran diagonally across the pitch smashed the ball into the Itchen and cleanly wiped out the attacker too. As he trotted back over to the right Bertie, Virgil, and Jose all gave him a hearty well done pat on the back.
Knew his place and his abilities, never kicked up a fuss, scored a brilliant goal, and considering he cost us bobbins gave decent value for it.

They were going to finish above us last season with their ace new manager lol

I was scanning a forum of theirs to see about Martina and found this thread:

https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?58437-Premier-League-Rival-Transfers

About 75% of it is about us and includes comments like

We have better players than them but appointed a worse manager. lets see how the new man manages... All this money Everton have been spending is purely to catch those teams above them. We were one of them, and we had a bad season.

They're a bunch of bozos talking utter chocolate.

Didn't even dress last night vs El Salvador after captaining his side a few days ago vs Jamaica. Perhaps it was due to the altitude (played in Denver). Or perhaps due to our signing of him. I'm late to this board so don't know if already discussed. Just hopefully no injury

Can't believe @d4kyxx received a warning for this when it's common knowledge that gingers are genetically incapable of making friends.

Spare a thought for skateboarding gingers who are even shunned by other gingers.*

*waits for 'I'm not even ginger FFS' from Ijjy

WTF mods? Don't warn him for that. I was offended.

Cos it's true :(

MG. I think you wrote the positive ones yourself.

He left the squad to sign, reportedly with Everton.
