Davies has been poor, possibly suffering from second season syndrome, but he's had virtually no help or leadership from far more experienced and senior players around him. Taking him out of the firing line, just might be the correct thing to do at present.

Agreed put morgan in the mix play his way back into form
 
Good line up from the start, tbh any line up with balance and no Rooney, Sig combo was going to look decent.

Bit worried if Schneiderlin is having a stinker as per the whole season, only Davies on the bench and as seen against Leicester him and Gueye have no holding ability between them so surpised to see no Beni involved.

No excuse for Iceland today either, he's got wingers around him, a willing runner up top so has to put in a performance today.

Vlasic situation is baffling as i can't understand why he isn't getting a look in, only player who showed a bit of ability under Koeman so perhaps travelling off for internationals hasn't allowed him to show something in training (Considering Schneiderlin and Sandro stayed the 2 weeks and both in the squad but no Mirallas or Vlasic)

Id agree, it will be good to see a game without Rooney, and with Niasse up top and see what we produce. It also really does mean that with all of the pace and options around him if Siggurdson cant produce, we need to think of bringing Klaassen back in to play in that spot. Despite how much some havent liked him, we at least had better results with him. Against the worst team in the league Siggurdson needs to show his quality or get out.

And yeah, Im not sure how someone who has the pace of Lennon but with a lot more youth and other talents doesnt see the pitch.
 
Happy with that team. Proper wingers and great to see Lookman given a chance. Morgan back is a good thing, hopefully learnt his lesson, and adds height to the side.

Vlasic omission is harsh, but he won't be out of the squad indefinitely. Good to see Sandro back on the bench too.
