Said this for ages. The limited overs players have a winning mentality, that in itself is massively important. Just throwing one in at a time (Roy, Morgan) won't do it though as proven.

Yeah that's a fair point. We ain't got a Chris woakes who can genuinely bat down the order. You sense one wicket puts them right back in charge.

He did but once again out in the 20s in both innings, which seems a decent score in the context of this game!!!! Pope has never batted at 3 before in his career, it was madness to pick him there. I would have gone for Harry Brooks from Yorkshire at 3 and put Pope in at 5 instead of Bairstow.
I agree . I was astonished that Vaughan has us favourites to win. Root or Foakes out early and we are finished.
