Not sure it makes a lot of difference really. No County plays all the others in it’s Division and it will be cast away to March/April and September again anyway.
Hopefully it gets rid of the meaningless Bob Willis Trophy. The main thing I'm looking for is a more structured season with no long gaps in the summer, but with the nonsense Hundred I won't hold my breath.

Yes I suspect you'll be right. Prefer two divisions myself but it's tough on Notts who find themselves in the 2nd Division despite last season's heroics. This will be the 10 teams in the 1st and 8 in the 2nd, which hasn't been tried before.

Full squad.

Pleased for Bohannon - well deserved. Not a bad squad - pleased to see Fisher in there after all his injuries, and Norwell too. I wouldn't have picked Sibley - he should have been told to go away and work on a new technique - as he's done before. Libby and Tom Haines unlucky not to be picked - Lees and Sibley chosen ahead of them. No Harry Brook either.

Livingstone rightly not picked after his abject championship batting for Lancashire.

Crackers that.

The in play betting was the maddest I’ve ever seen as well.
With 3 overs left you’d have put your house on KKR, then with 1 over left, put it on DC. Sport at its crazy best.
Couldn’t believe Ashwin bowled that 5th ball ‘in the slot’ at that pace.

Opening day of the T20 World Cup. This preamble to the main event is to determine which of the associate countries go into the groups with the top teams.
Today's results : Oman beat Papua New Guinea by 10 wickets
And a shock result, Scotland beat Bangladesh by 6 runs.

I think he'll always be a limited overs player, he hasn't the patience for the longer form of the game. There's also more money in franchise cricket.

Agree with your last sentence and it might well be playing on Liam's mind - understandably - but he certainly had the game and the patience to be successful in red ball cricket earlier in his career. Last year he pulled out of the IPL because he wanted to concentrate on red ball cricket - but covid intervened and he spent most of the summer sat on his backside in the England bubble. The season just ended his championship batting was a joke - literally given the way the Glamorgan fielders laughed at him when he holed out on the boundary against them.

It's up to him - concentrate purely on white ball or try to fulfil his potential in red ball.

Can he do it on a damp cold and windy April day at Derby ? :)
Just having a look at the Test fixtures for next year, series against New Zealand and South Africa, so mainly pace, which I think would suit him, notwithstanding his bish bash bosh against the spinners this year.

Yes the choice between that and a sultry evening in front of a full house in Melbourne or Sydney must be a difficult one! :)
