Cricket

I just mean generally really. He might develop into an all rounder at some point, but he's just a tailender with a good eye for now. He had an explosive start in tests but he's only gone past 40 once in his last 20 innings, and had 4 ducks. He doesn't average 30 in any form of cricket, despite batting in a position where you'd expect plenty of red inkers. People talk about him strengthening the batting but there's no evidence that he does really.

It's a funny one. When he and Pope first broke onto the scene, the view was Curran had better batting technique out of the two, at that moment.

He looks to have added a yard with the ball and I like having a left armer.

Getting back to topic though, he looks a good county player to me, off the front foot etc. I'm not convinced with him hip upwards. Just based on watching him on TV though.

I owe his brother a bit of an apology mind, I said earlier in the summer sturggle to see what he brings, but think he's bowled very well all summer. He's not the most aesthetically pleasing as a bowler but is effective.

Played really nicely and will be dissapointed he gave it away. I like how he rotates the strike quickly. Looks quite even here, Bairstow the key man.
Frustrating as it looked like we were going into the last 10 with two well set top order batsman, was still impressed with the manner of Billings play as he looks much more a specialist batsman who can play in the top 6 than he has done previously
