Cricket

ffs, what do they have against sam curran? poor decision to drop him for wood given how poor the batting has been so far. Not that wood should have been dropped in the first place mind. The bowlers won that game single handedly, none of them should have been dropped.

Would have liked to have seen banton given a go instead of roy for this one game too.
Curran's batting is weirdly overrated. He averages less than 20 in one day cricket, he's very much a tail ender who can biff a few sixes if they're in the slot, not an all rounder.

He's one of those weird ones who looks better and scores quicker in tests, but he's scored runs when it matters, just wish he would translate that to one dayers.

I just mean generally really. He might develop into an all rounder at some point, but he's just a tailender with a good eye for now. He had an explosive start in tests but he's only gone past 40 once in his last 20 innings, and had 4 ducks. He doesn't average 30 in any form of cricket, despite batting in a position where you'd expect plenty of red inkers. People talk about him strengthening the batting but there's no evidence that he does really.
