North T20 table : Notts played 7, points 12
Lancs played 7, points 10
Leics played 7, points 7
Yorks played 7, points 6

Lancashire have three games left : Yorkshire again on Thursday, Durham on Friday, and Leicestershire on Sunday, all at Old Trafford. The top two teams in each of the three groups qualify for the quarter finals, together with the two best third place teams. Quarter finals start next Thursday, and the finals next Saturday.

Great chance of qualifying now but I think the lack of a big hitter at 5, 6, or 7 will prove their undoing when they meet stronger teams. Perhaps a late plea to Glenn Maxwell to join up for the knock out games is the answer!

Also, Tom Bailey has shown in the last couple of games why he hasn't played T20 for the previous 3 years. Accurate, fast-medium seam bowling is not what succeeds in that form of cricket, unless it's one of those rare games with a green pitch.

ffs, what do they have against sam curran? poor decision to drop him for wood given how poor the batting has been so far. Not that wood should have been dropped in the first place mind. The bowlers won that game single handedly, none of them should have been dropped.

Would have liked to have seen banton given a go instead of roy for this one game too.

But no, let's stick with Roy and he'll get out first ball. It wasn't his summer, surely they knew that before today?

Captaining the test side and playing all white ball stuff all a little bit too much maybe

I think so, don't get me wrong, i wouldn't want him dropped from either, he was so key in winning the world cup, but i think it maybe is too much for him. I just don't see a captain in that test side, good leaders all around and a player like stokes you just want them to play. Flintoff and pietersen were burdened by the captaincy so they can't make that mistake with stokes again.
