Weird toss decision to bat first in bowler friendly conditions, with the aim of bowling last on a fourth day pitch and then barely using the spinner. Bess had a few tough lbw calls too. But England deserved to lose this regardless of the toss, dreadful batting again, hideous fielding and wicket taking no balls.

Not a great choice like but Bairstow has a far better record. Not sure on Foakes. Never seen him bat against decent quick bowling.

I like Bairstow but I don’t trust him in a Test side anymore, especially after the Ashes. He needs to focus on white ball or go back and earn his place through county games

Foakes is a better keeper than the pair of the them and yeah, his batting does leave a bit to be desired but I’d rather see what we’ve got than not know

Same with the Bracey’s, Lawrence’s, and to a lesser extent Crawley’s of the world

I just don't get it with Buttler. No way someone so good should be playing so badly.

Awful load of waffly analysis on the BBC highlights show.
I think if I'd missed the match today I'd appreciate more action and less talk.
Plus they surely don't need to include lengthy coverage of the dismissal reviews in a highlights programme? Harrumph!
