Think they felt they couldn’t drop wood after SA and if Archer is fit he plays it seems. Archer has looked more threatening than wood tbf but neither have picked up a wicket.
Got to hope the openers grind it out later

One of Archer/Wood in home tests for me. 2 out of Jimmy, Broad, Woakes and Curran.

Wood and Archer will both play in Australia if fit, but they are a bit too expensive on these sort of wickets.

Aye, Wodd/Archer will be fine on those roads but yeah, you need Broad and Anderson at home when possible.

Agree on Curran too. Don't want him to become a forgotten man. Got all the talent in the world.

Curran good option definitely. He actually troubled Smith in the last Ashes test. And he can bat. I like him in the side at 8.

Archer's form in his last couple of tests a bit of a concern. Either someone has told him to bowl short for some reason, or someone needs to tell him to stop bowling short. He's far too good to bowl so erratically.

Aye, Archer does need to change that. All the pace, but seems like he's been told to just bounce it. Doesn't work.

Hit a line with pace and he'll see all sorts of wickets tumble
