I can't see Michael winning that argument.

Ireland and some other 'lesser' sides perhaps, especially if played on a two day wicket like Lords last summer but no 'proper' tests anywhere should be reduced imo.

This test match, with two to play, has set up the series really nicely, now both sides will be looking to make it a memorable, even classic encounter.

Thank goodness we have proper four test match series and not the dreadful two consecutive one-offs or so called 'mini' series which have become so prevalent nowadays and are never ever memorable, with no comebacks later in the series possible as they're over before they've even properly got started.

(Usually with the tight schedules and limited preparation beforehand they massively favour the home team too).
