If he does i bet he'll just be branded a liar anyway. I don't think a single person believes this is the first time the balls been tampered with.

I don't feel sorry for him, because he's got what he deserved. However, I do think he's legitimately remorseful.

Warner on the other hand would do it again tomorrow.

He regrets what he has done to his career but not sure he is remorseful about cheating. He refuses to say the word and even had the temerity to suggest that the fact that the umpires didn't change the ball meant that they didn't do much wrong.

Disagree Tim, Smith is responsible if he's scared of Warner and lets him make decisions then he shouldn't be captain. He's gutted cause he got caught. Another thing is their arrogance, when this first broke Smith, Warner and Bancroft were arrogant believing they were above the law, smirking during the initial press conference, we're all used to the Aussies being arrogant but this lot are beyond anything seen before. If you take Ricky Pointin as an example when his side won 5-0 in the Ashes he didn't gloat saying that some decisions went for them and not us and that made a big difference in the outcome. He acted like a true sportsman. This lot rubbed our noses in it in the winter & chances are they were cheating then. I have no sympathy for any of them. their sledging too goes way beyond for me. Good riddance.

Punter is good people. Fantastic batsman. Fantastic sportsman.

Exactly, ignoring the fact you only change the ball if it’s misshapen. If you sandpaper one side it won’t be misshapen just scuffed to perfection!

Feel a bit sorry for Smith tbh. He deserves his bank completely, but he's been shafted by the cretin that is Dave Warner. If he serves his ban quietly, continues to show contrition and humility, then he should be allowed back. As should Bancroft.

Warner should never play cricket again, nevermind for Australia.
