Craig Bellamy

It would be brilliant if he scored against the RS at the Sewage Farm though.

I'll let Moyes make the decision. If he thinks he can get him to play, he's ok by me.

Over-rated and a knbohead to boot, no thanks. He hardly set the championship alight did he. Pace is not an attribute on its own you ned end product and bellamy doesn't always deliver, he had a couple of good seasons thats it, if he's that good why is he constantly looking for a new club, that alone should say something about the lads character. noone wants him cos he's a tool and the cons outwiegh the pros in my opinion.

Carlos Tevez is always looking for a new club , it means nothing , Bellamy doesn't always deliver no your right but does Saha ,Beckford , Anichebe ????? I'll answer for you NO they don't , Bellamy would be a decent signing for a number of reasons 1, he's got a lot of pace ,2,he's got a lot of Passion , 3,he opens his mouth on the pitch rather than just pointing and is a leader by example of his workrate , he has negatives yes but when you have a chairman who let's face it for what ever reason can't pick and choose who he wants , if you have any better realistic targets I'd like to discuss them gladly with you

He's tough to play against because he's a bit of an agitator, plays on the edge. Unfortunately, he seems to take that into the dressing room as well.

I think he has something to offer, but way too many question marks. Given his history, it would be a very short term solution.

Bellamy is a quality player and a commanding captain figure on the pitch, he does get mouthy but I think there needs to be more like him, you know who actually have a personality. he'd fit in well at everton and is comfortable in three positions we need reinforcements in, Right mid, left mid and striker, he's still as good a player as he ever was and he's got at least two years left in the tank playing at the top level.....why not i say.

He was hardly amazing playing in a lower division for his home town club.....

Where was the passion there?

He's 30 odd too so I hope to Christ we wouldn't think about giving him a decent wage and a 3 year deal

I can't see this happening.

Just reading up on random other transfer news, and i found this piece a little interesting:
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11787_7024145,00.html

The story concerns Erik Huseklepp, a semi-young, pacy dribbler from Brann SK in Bergen (a city where i used to live and saw him make his breakthrough) that moved to Bari in january before they got relegated. Huseklepp was very hott stuff in Norway from 2008 till this move, also debuting and scoring with the national team, now a regular there. Going to Bari was an obviously terrible move - 5 appearances, 0 goals - which the club itself wasn't able to pay for and now the skillful norwegian international with the younger-than-he-really-is-face and terrible finishing skills is desperately on a search for a new club.

Thing is, we've been linked with him before. But a lot of clubs were. Funkier thing is, he's being linked with Celtic, who are in this article simultaneously linked with our two top depress-o-matic targets, Bothroyd and Bell-end-amy.

By invoking The Law of Jarg Journalism, we may consider him an Everton target. Fancy a go? He's honestly not good enough and i'm not being serious, i just think it's hilariously depressing, this linking business.

Good spot mate, good shout too.

Can you please explain what feats craig bellamy has achieved to warrant all this praise. Players who play in lower divisions have passion, i when i used to play was a bloody good talker on the pitch and i was agressive doesn't make me a top player now does it. He can run fast well you've sold me sign him up. He is a disruptive influence and the kind of 'mouthing off' he does is just as likely to upset his team mates and fans as it is the opposition. I haven't got a list of realistic targets for you xavi how can i have when we have no money to spend and the money we do have should be spent on building for the future with younger players not players like bellamy who not only get injured a lot but banned a lot too.

He's scored 24 goals over the past two seasons playing the vast majority of his football as a left sided player, not as a striker. People can say it was only the Championship but he did exactly the same with Manchester City the season before that, and was one of there better players. As a footballer, he shouldn't just be viewed as a goalscorer, or a out and out striker, he's far more than that.

Hes the type of player you hate when he plays against you - as Cahill is to opposition fans - but if he played for you well!!!

Ill say one thing for the lid he has passion. I would if the Zog isnt a goer.

I share most of the same sentiments.
Never really liked him, but he can get it done on the pitch and passion properly channeled is very valuable.

I don't see him as a lone striker if Saha or Beckford are fit. I think he is great with someone to play off of (he and Beckford/Yak could be interesting). From a lineup stance, I see him making the field as a left wing for us, but I'm not sure I see he and Baines meshing great.

He'd be better than nothing -- and I'm pretty sure the backup plan is "nobody."

He's scored 24 goals over the past two seasons playing the vast majority of his football as a left sided player, not as a striker.

Oh well I can see why people are against him since we have such an embarrassment of riches to play mid/front on our left side.

I don't mean this sarcasticly , if you don't see what he gives you on a football pitch then Iam waisting my time discussing it with you, if you don't rate his ability , I know he's a pain in the jacksie but I feel he is real quality , for City playing wide left he was different class . Scares the life out of full backs and scores goals but hey we all see different things , opinions and all that and I respect yours to so we'll agree to disagree

He has refused to drop his wages at all. He has a charity somewhere and says they need the money as much as he does so theres no chance he will take a pay drop from his 85k a week, he did however say that IF Man City paid him out the remainder of his contract his first choice would be Cardiff.

What a horrible, horrible excuse that is. He's looking after 13 kids in Sierra Leone - fair enough, good on him. But quite frankly £20'000 a week would be enough to run that.

I find it shocking he's using a charity as an excuse for running down his contract as he has no hunger to try and be a success somewhere on lesser wages.

I didn't think this scumbag could sink any lower in my books but he just has.

The debate about his ability is one thing, but I don't think that 85k per week for Craig Bellamy is debatable. That's just too much.
