Played my electric guitar for a bit.

Checked the (long) list of dos and donts I was given by the Hospital so Nikki could come home, and they didnt mention it.

Need my nails cut though.

I had my leccy guitar out earlier, first time in months . Usually mess about on the acoustic coz it's easier . It still works , and my attempt at playing the opening bit to Guns'n'Roses " Sweet Child of Mine " still makes it seem that " Sweet " child is now 16 with an ASBO

* My rendition of the ending riff to MUSE's Knights of Cydonia still sounds spot on , like ;)

Been happier since I got furloughed from work and got over the virus than I've been in a while. Enjoying time with my kids and Mrs, gone for long walks in the countryside over the back of the house with the dog, finally doing some grieving for my mum who passed away in January, done the gardens, done a bit of decorating, smoked a lot of bud, drunk a lot of beer and listened to a lot of records. Made me realise I need to rethink my life, to be honest.

Nice one....just cut mine on the right hand as I'm a left handed player......but what about the guitar? Oh dear

Went to have my first shave/beard trim in 4 weeks last weekend, forgot to put the plastic bit in so I shaved on the lowest setting right in the middle of my neck.

I trimmed the rest as normal as I am not going to see anyone but it ended up looking worse a few days later and took all week to recover.

Made my gf laugh anyway

I've been subscribed to Emusic for years, its £11 a month for 50 downloads, all independent labels, and if you don't use em you lose em, so I had +200 zipped up albums on my hard drive. I've been unpacking and listening to one or two every day, discovering some fantastic stuff.

Am now nearly finished my couch to 5k programme; getting in about 6km/7km three times a week.

Having a few glasses of wine with the Mrs in the evening and lots of time spent with our wee boy who will be 4 in May, as well as our two dogs.

Trying to work from home with all that going on though is mad!

Is right.

I'll be back 3 days out of five but working from home (still get 70% the other 2 days, so not bad at all) but I'll be using that time to find something I actually want to do.

The call with my boss yesterday was basically telling me I have to find a way to force our suppliers to cover our losses through this. [Bad word] that. We should be working together.

That's this month sorted.

That example should be in the Covid Rats thread.

Theres two ways to do my job, @davek ...either you form a good relationship with your supply chain, work together to find ways to make efficiencies and share the rewards (my normal way). Or you do everything in your power to screw down cost and just assume that whatever pain your inflicting forces them to become more efficient or that they push it further down the supply chain.

When times are tough you always find out what kind of management you have. I am yet to be pleasantly surprised.... after 15 years, i need to do something else
