There’s a 2 bedroom ex local authority over 60’s bungalow just gone on sale about 150 yards from my house …. A few years ago you could pick one of these up for 70k tops….. it’s on the market today for £160,000….. what chance have youngsters got to get on the housing ladder ???
I don't know how people get mortgages. After all, no job can be said to be secure these days. That used to be a basic criterion for a loan at one time.

The crunch will hut even harder when the government virtually cease to help with the subsidies on the heating bills ......

It's already stopped hasnt it?

At least that's what my mrs has told me which is what was such a shock to us today.

Although, it will balance itself out somewhat now the warmer months are here.

We've been a bit careless with the heating to be fair.

March is the last month for support and next month the price cap is rising by 20%

Energy bills in the UK compared to the rest of Europe are a joke.

Most likley heating support scheme will be extended. Unfortunately it will be announced for for maximum political effect rather what's best for people. They could have done this as soon the surplus was announced and given some certainty.

Price of LPG is at the lowest it’s been in over 12 months in Scotland. Actually feel really lucky to be on LPG than mains gas at the moment.

Still can’t believe people have accepted the prices of petrol and diesel as the new norm now.

If only we had a few professionals with half a brain between them running the country.

Think of all of our money that’s been spaffed over the last decade on Brexit, crap like HS2 and all of that dodgy covid PPE/track and trace etc….

Imagine if all of that wasted money was pumped into renewable energy.

The government is the Everton board on a grander scale.
