Yeah, crazy time. no underlying medical conditions either.

We think it's from the school my girlfriend works in... At least they all have a staff meeting on skype at 0900 tomorrow.

She's already been in quarantine for a week after presenting with a cough.
Heard she suffered from pneumonia for 3 days prior to here being brought to hospital. But I might have misunderstood that one.

We can work on improving our hospital capacity, plus testing/isolating and contract tracing. I also have hope that some of the treatments outside of a vaccine, for instance the plasma from recovered patients, will prove effective.

Not disagreeing here Legs, but this is what should have been happening since January. Disgraceful that it wasn't.

But yes, eventually there is going to have to be a cut off point.

We haven't reached that stage yet. In the UK at least all of April is going to be lockdown. From then on we'll have to see if there's small steps which can be taken if the numbers start to improve. Probably just take everything week by week.

I've not read anything yet. Will have a look now....

No mention of pneumonia... The report I read said she tested positive 3 days ago with a high fever and deteriorated really quickly. They don't understand why just yet.

It's not the same school, at least, according to Het Nieuwsblad, the city haven't confirmed it yet

That's pretty much how it all seems to me yes. Aside from the lockdown, there isn't really anything like a sense of collective panic.

Tbf it's similar in the UK at least where I am. People are used to the 'new normal' now or whatever. I mean, I had to stop myself from laughing today when I popped into the local shop to grab some bread and milk and a paper for my grandma and everyone is standing on yellow tape two metres apart like zombies, but overall seems people are getting used to it.

The pneunomia I heard on Q-radio Belgium. Just not sure on that other bit.

What a load of rubbish this press conference is. It's like watching a lecture, with 'green shoots' abound. Led by 'prof' Gove, lies, lies and more lies. They 'fix' everything to fit into their 'model'. Cliche after cliche. 'Grren shoots', 'foot on the pedal' etc. Yesterday Patrick Vallance said there was a rise in those admitted to hospital from Friday to Monday, which went up from 6 000 to 9000 ,but it was 'steady but not accelerating' , Friday - 600 admitted, Saturday 1000 admitted, Sunday 14000, that's an acceleration in my book. We've been sold a pup by these 'experts' like we were sold a pup with Blair's WMD. Figures are being manipulated, thsoe that have not survived coronavirus is probably double the figures they've given.

Same here. Just have to give a bit of thought to what was a bog standard activity, and then realise its not a good idea.

To give credit where credit is due, the trivial services we dont usually even think of, radio, TV for example, have been quite brilliant, in the main.

Yes, it's very strange how quickly we all seem to get used to these new circumstances and rules.
