Derbyshire police using Drones to catch people even walkiing in the code of isolation then putting it on social media to ridicule them ......to condemn the people who are staying within the guidance ........

I guess this is a good example of what I have been referring to in regards to the media and how dangerous it has been over the past few weeks. How it's creating panic and worry every single day.

Heartbreaking story no matter what the details are, not something you ever want happening.

However it was reported as dying from the Corona virus making her the youngest person to die from the virus in the UK. I remember reading this story when it first came out , no under lying health conditions and succumbed to covid 19. Terrifying really.

The real story is that she died from a heart attack and not the virus. However by printing that story without fact checking , it's created worry that a young healthy person can just die from getting the virus. Which may or may not be the case , I'm no expert on the matter. But it's misleading the population of the country if they are reading stories that aren't true , printed in all their media sources for news.

It makes you wonder how many of these stories are misleading, how many people are marked as covid 19 deaths when they aren't but reported in the media.

All I'll keep saying is that the media are contributing to all the panic and worry , all the mental health issues that so many people are experiencing. This virus existing should he feared , but I worry people still fear it for all the wrong reasons.

I said to my missus something did add up with this one. i said the stats haven't recorded anyone that young

It was supposed to get rid of indigestion I think ? Remember the bump,on the head when you were a small kid a big lump would appear you would run in crying and your mum would rub Lard on it and say now that will help you would stop crying a go back out to play :)
Yeah

Kids were hard in our day Joey. We played outside and would come home covered in bumps cuts and bruises. SS would be no doubt all over it these days.

I'm conscious we're going off topic. Maybe we should set up a new thread for Coronavirus, baby boomer nostalgia

I don't see the problem with going for more than a few walks a day as long as you stay close to home and avoid all contact with people (something that's easily done) I'm now waiting for someone to grass me up and I a get knock on the door from the Police because we take our dogs for a walk twice a day. lol

There's nothing in the regulations that restricts the distance and frequency of exercise.

Really, really dangerous misreporting this - Something i'd expect from the Mail Online but not a respected paper like the Guardian

At this point can't help feeling that the media are spreading fear rather than information

From

  • stay local and use open spaces near to your home where possible – do not travel unnecessarily

From

  • one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household.
