That sounds like what I had - tight chest and shortness of breath for several days, a feeling like a sore throat was coming, a fever (but only on the first night), quite a bit of fatigue over days (was sleeping 11-12 hours some nights) and the occasional cough / sneeze.

Got over it now mind, and seven days are up tomorrow so back to work.
They’re all the symptoms that I had last weekend for a fair few days bar the coughing and fever. All my immediate family have had similar symptoms the past month.

I'm not usually a person who is usually ill, but I was wiped out and bed bound for a good three days. I still don't feel perfect, however I'm much better than I was.

Completely unscientific, (from me), but loads on here over the last few weeks have mentioned feeling crap since Christmas. Me included. Well, not crap like cant work, but crap that a few paracetamols or lemsips would deal with.

A bit feverish, a few aches and pains, and it lasted for ages. Hope she is right.

Yep, I had it as well....I’ve said before that many may well have already got it/had it, but we just don’t know.....

Everyone I knew had it over Christmas and New Year.

The younger ones got over it in a couple of days and the likes of my mum and dad (80 ) where in bed for a full week and properly laid out.

Took me a good 2 weeks to get over it, the aching muscles / joints was the worst thing.

Makes you wonder if it was already here due to China keeping quiet about it ?

It’s all irrelevant now anyway.

That was me for weeks. Before she went all lazy and opted for the Hospital, it would annoy the hell out of Mrs R when I went to bed at like 9.00 pm, or earlier some times. Just wiped out.

glad to hear you are both better, but really this antibody testing cannot start soon enough then

Yeah I had that feeling of needing to throw up only did the once but think that was through coughing so much.

Not sure if I want it to have been that or not because it leaves lasting lung damage doesn't it.

This virus? It can, but most make a full recovery iirc. Maybe the last few pages suggest thats the case.

Certainly some very similar tales being related. Makes you think.

and @Paulie

Plenty of people have said the same. My mate was in a really bad way with all the symptoms of covid-19 back in Jan. Obviously he can't know yet whether he's had it and isn't assuming he did, but he was out for a week nearly. I actually saw him just after he'd got through the worst of it and he looked absolutely shot.

Speaking to a neighbour over the weekend - she's a nurse at my local hospital. She's convinced she had all the symptoms back around Novermber time too.

It's so hard to tell but while people shouldn't be assuming they have had it of course, it's also worth pointing out plenty of people have complained of having exactly the same symptoms long before the last two weeks (which is when we were really told all of the known symptoms in detail)

Almost certainly it was just the flu or a cold.

We only saw deaths this month, so I find it unlikely that people had this 3months ago.

I myself am only just getting over a cough Ive had for what seems like 6 weeks.

Except that even at this stage a bit of honesty from China could save many economies.....

People are looking for it now though - it would be interesting (but probably impossible) to go back and test the bodies of those who died between December and March, especially sudden deaths found subsequently at home and deaths ascribed to pneumonia in hospital, to see if any of them had it.

Two weeks ago today I was working (from home).

I mentioned on here that I'd had this but probs worth saying again.

That morning I'd been to the gym and done like an hour and a half of quite a rigorous workout and then a swim.

Started work at 2, felt fine. Anyway, about 5 i started to ache - and I mean really ache.

But I just thought, well I've done a lot earlier and now I'm sitting down and typing for hours, it's bound to happen. About 9ish I started to fluctuate between being hot and cold. I did think it was weird at that stage and obviously my mind started whirring and thinking the worst.

I had two painkillers and as soon as I finished work at around 11 I went straight to bed. Was asleep in about five minutes. Genuinely shattered.

Anyway, slept like a log and when I woke the next morning, I felt absolutely fine. And have had nothing since.

Now, it would be really easy for me to panic (and you know with everything that's gone on I'm obviously thinking should I have panicked) but i've had no symptoms of any illness at all since then.

It was just those few hours. And as I've said I'd done a lot in the morning and then worked nine hours. It could have been a simple case of not drinking enough water.

The only thing is those aches were bad. Really bad. My shoulders felt like I had someone standing on me. But they went when the painkillers kicked in. I don't know what the hot/cold thing was.

Surely I couldn't have fought off the thing with a night of good sleep though?

did we though ? Did we not have deaths from the flu ? I don’t know , my guess is we might have . I’m that report seems to be suggesting that it might have been about In the Uk for a couple Of months .

I’ve honestly no clue
