We really need to define what we mean by ''true'' and ''an expert''.

University of Washington?

National Institutes of Health (January 2021)?

World Health Organisation?

The ONS?

You’ll have to let me know if these are politically accepted sources because I haven’t really checked. Of course it’s not enough to simply have qualified medical expertise if you don’t have the right politics.

But natural immunity essentially is a vaccine, so what is the problem?

I don’t think people denied that did they? Natural immunity is obviously a good thing, only problem with it being you have to get the virus first, and encounter the associated risks of that.

So it then becomes a balance of ‘which is more likely to cause harm / death’ - getting immunity via catching the virus, or getting it via a vaccine in which case you don’t have to get the virus.

Natural immunity was the governments first strategy - “let it rip”, “let the bodies pile high”, until it actually did rip, and the bodies did pile high, and the health service ended up (and is still) on it’s knees.

At one point that wasn’t a choice, as we didn’t have vaccines. So if people caught it at that time then they just had to hope their symptoms were mild. Those people all had natural immunity and imo not all of them needed a vaccine as well (exceptions of course for the clinically vulnerable which I’ve always been a strong advocate of vaccines for)

Are folk still arguing about this. Let's just all agree that Trump was really right - it came from China. Also that Bill Gates controls us all via the microchip vaccines delivery system.

We're all good now, Bill is a benign master and the new world order ain't so bad.

I worked throughout lockdown as I was classed as essential (Military Aerospace sector) and I've never had a confirmed case though I suspect I had it before it truly hit the headlines and for me it was just like a cold but messed with my smell and taste (beer tasted like burning, really weird sensation). I was clearly lucky.

We lost my cousin to it and my Mum is still struggling 2 years after catching it. Her lungs are scarred now, she's been hopisalised a few times with dangerously low sats and is on a nebuliser daily.

Lockdowns were a necessary evil in my eyes, however poorly executed.
