I think you should start enjoying your life again mate. It’s fine, you’re allowed now.
I went to 4 festivals last summer, including latitude just after the reopening, and quite a few gigs. Plus the football the last couple of games- I've been living my life when allowed. I just don't think it's over. That doesn't stop me enjoying stuff

May be controversial opinion here, but...

It's about friggin time that restrictions are now a thing of the past and 'living with covid' is now being accepted, IMO. People need to take responsibility for their own lives and act accordingly. We can't tiptoe around it any longer.
What NHS programmes are you wanting to see be cut to pay for this ability to walk without tiptoeing?

Good job they didn’t sack all the unvaccinated staff in the end then. Maybe they’ll attempt to invest a bit and rebuild it now I guess, or pay the nurses properly...

... I said maybe.
Statement: There's no new money in the NHS, to pay for this expensive political policy.

Answer: "Erm...maybe they'll pay the nurses better then. Maybe they'll invest a bit. Good job they didn't get rid of staff*"

*(presumably now we'll cut from a more equitable pool than just the unvaxxed?)

Anti viral and clinical intervention for infectious disease outbreaks are much more expensive than asking the public to wear a mask and isolate if they have symptoms.

We will have to have a bank of quite expensive anti virals on standby (cost roughly about £400 per course) as the preferred option for treatment while maintaining surveillance (which until recently was talked about as being scaled back).

Interesting political direction to take.

Hang on, you were replying to a comment from me telling a poster to simply enjoy his life?

You live in a very simplistic world

I refuse to accept a world where the CEO of my company got a 29% pay rise this year and my sister who is a frontline nurse is essentially doing to job of two people due to crippled staffing levels and can’t even afford a deposit for a house for at least another year. That may be the world I live in but it’s not the world I want to live in. The NHS has been on the bones of it’s arse since long before Covid unfortunately.

Well something will be cut to pay for your enjoyment of living with current levels of Covid.

Maybe they should've cut the unvaccinated to pay for it.
