Just like when the mandatory mask wearing was dropped.

I will say (and it’s very anecdotal I admit) that I’ve seen people I know who are anti-mask or more accurately ambivalent towards them say that the dropping of self isolation (especially if you have symptoms) is a whole other level of crazy.

This was from the information published today:

“Until the 1st of April we will still advise people who test positive to stay at home, but after that we will encourage people with Covid 19 symptoms to exercise personal responsibility.”

Compared to this nonsense, masks are basically a non issue. This is a whole other level of stupidity. And it will be the poorest who are affected the most simply because they won’t be able to afford to isolate as it’s unlikely they work from home.

Thursday is the 24th of February though - more classic mixed messaging.

We live in a country where the Government feel it is more important to make a profit on a test against a pandemic than it is to keep people safe. Hopefully people who voted for this party will remember their them and us attitude come the next election.

Protection against infection is likely short-term, lasting less than six months, but protection against severe disease appears more robust, researchers with the U.K. Health Security Agency reported Friday.

Specifically, the researchers found that right after the third shot of the Pfizer vaccine, protection against a symptomatic infection is pretty good. Two weeks after the shot, the booster cuts the risk by about 70%.

But that protection falls quickly. By three months, the booster reduces the risk of a symptomatic infection only by about 50%.

In a second analysis, the U.K. researchers estimate the protection will decline even further, dropping to about 40% about four months after the third shot.
So the most vulnerable people were given their booster in September, so just over 5 months ago. Amidst all of these "go wild" announcements, I haven't seen anything about those people getting a 4th jab?
