We shouldn't make policy based on extreme opinion.

There is never going to be 50 cats there unless you've got it horribly wrong. You can reduce the number over time. You just need to know that you can and stop listening to people telling you "living with 50 cats is fine. Let's just get on with things".

We both know there is zero chance of 1 ever happening. It's chasing a dream that can never happen , vaccines didn't halt the spread , therefore herd immunity didn't stop the spread either.

You are going to have to accept those 50 cats. Short of locking all your doors and never leaving until you only have one left. And continuing to do it just in case that 1 turns into 2 again.
