Oh I know all that. All I’m saying is that I would still expect covid to cause her more than “mild symptoms” even if she’s as healthy as she can possibly be for a 95 year old.
Depends on being vaccinated as well I guess. Think there was a 100 odd year old reported to have survived it in the first wave. Affects everyone different doesn’t it.

We"ll probs never really know what her symptoms are like but this is a perfect advert for the vaccine so if her life is not at risk I can see why they'd release statements like thayt

The problem now for anyone who feels the need to demand covid restrictions in some capacity , or the element that society isn't ready to move on from the pandemic is right in the news now.

If a 95 year old woman can get by with covid then there is no more excuse that the rest of the country can't just get on with it. That's one of your key groups at risk from the virus.

It makes the government stance all the more sensible. It makes the risk of covid extremely less severe if a 95 year old woman can just deal with it.

If being the key term.

Not all people are the same.

She has had private healthcare, a nutritionist and a personal doctor pretty much her whole life. She will be healthier than 99% of 95 year olds.

Has a 95 year old widow who can't drive from Carlisle had the same?

I know you're a 'thinker' these days Ash, but you need to get a bit better at it.

I think you need to re-evaluate your thought process on a 95 year old woman and the risks that age brings with it.

She may have the best medical care in the country , doesn't stop covid or make her any less at risk than other people her age.

It's killed young healthy people , what exactly does the queen have access to that would make a difference with covid 19?

I'm not sure mate, maybe she is just really good at calling her local GP at 830 and getting a phone appointment

Vaccines do that and a reduced transmission rate across the country.

A 95 year old woman dealing with it does make the risk less severe to the general population.

At 95?

I mean the highest proportion of covid deaths since the pandemic began is in 85 and over for a good reason.

Queen or not, she isn't a kind of magic.
"Only the old die from this is not a big issue, we need to open up because of impact on young people and mental health"

"Yes but what about other impacts other than death?"

"It's not harmful to people other than the elderly, they're the only ones that die"

Oh ok...

"Suicide rates haven't dropped since the pandemic"

"It's not just about suicides, it's about more than that. Mental health is a massive issue"

It's a convenient selective position to take.

There will always be a reason for some people not to accept the idea of living with covid. There isn't anything anyone can say to change that opinion either.
