There isn't any regular prostate testing in the UK, for any age. I'm sure you could find someone to do a physical check for free though.

What's your point?

Erm...

If you're over 50 and you're worried about your risk of prostate cancer, you might want to ask your GP about tests for prostate cancer. If you're over 45 but have a higher risk of prostate cancer – because you have a family history of prostate cancer or you're a black man – you might want to talk to your GP too.

The point is why 50? Why have they put that age in there? Do you have any idea why?

Honestly, try to take a moment and read what's actually being said, because you seem to be swinging wide of the mark with some of this.

You might want to talk to your GP is not "regular prostate testing". It's a "think about getting tested".

It's 50 because your risk is increased if you're over 50. More significant risk than under 50..

I think it depends on area to area mate.

As I know where I live, they don`t / won`t do a prostrate test unless you have symptoms, even if you`re over 50.

Ahhh right. So you mean to say those of a certain age and/or health profile are more at risk of prostate cancer than others? And those of other ages are at best, a minuscule risk? I see. Thank you mate.

Now I know this might sound wild, but this may apply to, erm, other illnesses too. It’s not for me to say which ones necessarily, but it’s something to maybe consider. Now, back to the covid vaccines for children debate.

Really? That is very surprising. For the sake of a 5 minute checkup that could save your life? Every day makes a difference with cancer. I bet you can get booked in for a covid booster at the drop of a hat though. What an odd world we live in.

Can you pass prostate cancer onto others?

You might also want to qualify that the risk to over 50s might be 50% whereas it might be 1% in someone below 50.

Whereas other cancers might be 80% in over 50s and 50% in under 50s. Context is key.

Thanks for bringing me back to child vaccination. It's about benefits vs risk and presently the benefits of vaccinating children outweigh the negatives.

But that’s irrelevant, because you can pass covid on to others even if you’ve been triple vaccinated?
