As soon as reinfections starts being properly counted in the data then this evidence will fall apart. I know over 30 people alone (including myself) who were at a minimum doubly vaccinated who all got covid in December.
Data from my hospital. Slightly older data as we now have 167 patients with COVID.
The major predictor for admission is vaccination status. Those admitted and vaccinated tend not to have had a booster, are immune compromised and/or have serious underlying health conditions.

Sorry, it's a farce tbh.
How was he issued exemption status following 2 independent reviews and then allowed to travel to Oz?
It's been completely politicised due to the backlash from the massively lockdowned population in Oz (rightly so imo) and the fact that there is an upcoming election to win.
If he never qualified for it He should never have got the exemption and then this shithshow never happens.
It's all bollocks.
Anyone know if COVID symptoms can appear even after you’ve had it? I had my negative LFD after 10 days on 31st December but all yesterday, last night and this morning I’ve got a terrible cough which I never had during my COVID “stint”.
Coming to England as the final way out do we think? Obviously Wales and Scotland would do it in a heartbeat
I had a chesty cough for about a month after I’d recovered. Rang the doctor, he said it was a normal post-covid symptom and to monitor it and call back if it gets any worse.
Its box ticking, lots of pubs weren't arsed checking. If this comes in then it’s clear as day it’s not about protecting people from a virus anymore. An absolute nonsense rule.

Besides, loads and loads of pubs and restaurants are closed because all their staff either have covid or are isolating.
Maybe if they had of checked covid vaccine status they wouldn't have so many staff out.
Well of course it would, it would tell you the person has a much lower chance of having covid, statistically. The vaccine status doesn’t tell you that they don’t have covid though, so it wouldn’t have done anything.

Of course it is. Vaccination reduces the risk of infectuon, the overall viral load by preventing severe illness and the amount of time someone is infectious. But is it though? Because infection rates are now higher than ever and the vast majority of people in the country are vaccinated. Everyone I know who’s caught it over the winter has been double vaccinated or boosted. Everyone in this thread who has had it recently have been vaccinated. Under these rules all those people would’ve been freely allowed to go the pub to spread it around like confetti. Why are we still acting like unvaccinated people are the ones carrying and spreading covid?

There is no argument there.
Government forcing industry to install proper ventilation and filtration systems would be better but lobbyists will prevent that from happening. So we will flitter about at the seams with restrictions on entry. Its a pain in the arse but it will help with reducing infection.
It reduces the risk and therefore overall number of infections. Its a bogus argument you're making. I wear a hellet playing hurling to reduce my chance of getting a hurl or sliotar in the noggin. I may still get one but much less chance.Well I’ve just given you an argument? That the vaccine doesn’t stop you catching the virus so therefore how are vaccine passports going to help anything? If your goal is to prevent spread then only proof of a negative test is an effective measure. Because if you don’t actually have the virus you cannot spread it, a room full of people that don’t have covid can’t infect each other with nothing. A room full of people with covid, vaccinated or not, can pass the virus on to each other. It’s really not hard at all to understand.
