Just a bit of anecdotal context as to how the problems with hospital numbers can have an effect on you whether you like it or not...
A colleague sisters had a heart attack early this morning now stabilized. Called 999, and after an hour they were still unable to get an ambulance sent out from Middlesex hospital, so they eventually had to get an Uber to the hospital. Was then finally identified as a bad heart attack, then transferred to Barts where she'll get a stent.
So that's what happens when you let things "run wild" in the community and hope for a wing and prey.
One to bear in mind while some of you are wanting to "live your life"...
Things like that have been happening in winter long before Covid. Disingenuous to suggest otherwise.
