The pandemic is the most complex topic the masses have had to engage in since the 2nd World War. Snappy one-liners or linking the odd graph aren't gonna tell us much without thoughtful analysis and considerations of alternative data.

Your bolded bit can easily be refuted by the science. i.e. official data from the government, which tells us 70% of Covid deaths are already-vaccinated.

So your "all available data shows..." is clearly not backed up by the facts. What do you have to say about this?

I'm going to be very direct here.

You've amply demonstrated that you have zero data science credentials. I've already torn you apart on this dataset once. You're now trying to lie with statistics by omitting the case count numbers you previously posted, which show 2-3x higher lethality among the unvaccinated during that time period.

What you are doing is reckless and dangerous. You need to go take a real hard look in the mirror. The currencies at stake here are your ego, and human lives. Choosing the former over the latter makes you no different than, say, LBJ, Wolfowitz and Blair...but those are not people to aspire to emulate.

The comments sections on Youtube videos have been like that since day 1. They are strange echo chambers for people with nothing better to do. The fact almost 90% of the country received the first jabs shows that these people are the outliers, thankfully.

No chance I’m getting a 4th if it’s a ‘booster’ though obviously I’m not in a particularly at risk category (even if my body seems to love catching the virus!)

I’ll get my third in a few weeks (was meant to be yesterday) then it’s me done. Each to their own obviously but I’m not comfortable with the idea of being vaccinated every few months. Don’t think it’s some big conspiracy, I just think there are risks with it that some love to scream and shout down without accepting some things may need to be looked into further. I’m not comfortable with the mandating in countries, with the idea that vaccines should take precedent over medicines that could actually treat the illness when people have it. I know how crap I felt for a month after my second jab. Completely drained, chest pain while exercising. Now I’ve got covid a second time I’m a bit worried it’ll be the same after my booster (as it’ll be the same 4-week spacing between having the virus and getting my jab)

Edit: If in a few months they advise that it’ll be an annual thing, and like the flu jab it’s down the individual choice, then I’d probably be more comfortable with that (for me). But like I said, each to their own and I’m not going to judge people doing it differently

A fair few people I know are will not go for the third... They were happy with 2 as that was the way out, apparently!

I didn’t feel great after my first two AZ vaccines but fine after my Pfizer booster. Still, the reaction to the first two was much better than how I felt with COVID itself.

Based on the above, I’ll be more likely to have a fourth booster than not.

Just popped into this thread for the first time in a while. Can’t believe some of the nonsense flying about with the likes of Toby ‘the pandemic is over’ Young being cited as sources.

Given the subject matter, and how important it is for all of us that we all get vaccinated, it makes me pretty angry that the site is being used as an amplifier for cranks.

Cherry picked data that isn’t even correct. Those numbers are wrong. They refer only to the cases with known vaccination status, most cases in Germany have an unknown vaccination status.

For example,
Omicron seems to break through vaccines but delta does not. Delta is more severe so omicron breaking through the vaccinated is better than delta infecting unvaccinated.
