Only one of my mates is unvaccinated. Just got COVID for a second time.
Mad... I mean the issue with my mate's girlfriend is she's convinced she's got some invincible immune system because when he caught it in the summer, she didn't catch it.

The lad in NZ is just a bit of a contrarian but tbf I think he knows one person who's even had COVID over there so it's a different life.

Yeh I’m not sure why my mate hasn’t; he won’t say. We’re fairly convinced his gf is an anti-vaxxer though. He said he’s thinking about getting it though as he’s in bed ill from it and the rest of us are fine with it.

Yeah like I've said I can understand, kind of, if people have doubts about the possibility of successive boosters but to not even give yourself a basic amount of protection is daft to me. Help your body out.

Annoying thing for me is I was meant to having my booster right now. Gonna have to wait another month now. Probably be some new zombie variant out by the time I get round to it. Wonder if Everton will have played a game by then.

The NHS text me telling me to go get my booster ASAP. The day after my PCR positive. I was like yes cheers I will just stick on my hazmat suit and be right along.

They were still texting me every other day for about 3 weeks after I had mine to the point I ended up going back to the doctors to ask them if there was any issue of sorts.

Vaccinated, had it 3 times.
For me, this whole vaccination thing is very polarising and people can easily pluck out a figure to justify their point of view or belief. Like most things. If you loomfor something to back up your belief, you will find it.

Get jabbed, don't get jabbed. Your getting the plague, no matter what. The only real difference seems to be, how poorly you might be.

They are relentless when they want something. I get an email & text every day now from Track & Trace (did it the first day) and the same telling me I’m positive like I’ve forgotten. Going to send them to junk mail soon.

Yeh that’s what I explained to him. I didn’t get the jab to avoid COVID, I got the jab to not maybe end up in hospital.

See the weird thing for me is, as a younger person, pretty much everyone I know is vaccinated.

There's two people I know who aren't - one is my mate's girlfriend, who is 23 and actually works for the NHS. But her mum and dad, having got their first doses, decided not to get their second. Now she decided not to get any. Is that on her or parents?

The other one is a 27-year-old who has lived in New Zealand for the last 3 years now.

Quite literally every other person I know around my age is vaccinated and/or boosted.

I don't hang around with 18-21 year olds, like, so maybe that age group is different, but I think young adults have got a lot of grief in this.
We have the full spectrum of age ranges working for us. We are finding out who is jabbed and not jabbed fairly easily now, cause those who are not jabbed are being upfront about it and facing the prospect of job hunting.
The way it is looking at the moment. The 18-21 lot are 50/50 not getting jabbed. 21-50 the vast majority are jabbed. Over 50s it seems it is mixed.
Gender wise. It is mainly females who are not getting the jab.
Race wise. Very few black staff have had it. Well they are claiming to not be and a lot have said they are looking for jobs elsewhere, or hoping the law changes once the government see how many staff are gonna leave ?. They make up most of our regular bank and domestic staff. We are gonna be screwed in April.

Looks like most of the UK is peaking bar England. I might give @peteblue new years eve bash a miss this year! lol

Yeah I've just got my PCR back as positive so can't wait for all the texts, calls and emails asking if I'm planning on going to the pub to cough on old people.

Which I would be doing if I wasn't positive, obviously.

yeah that's fair enough, I suppose I want to keep thinking of myself as young but if I were a footballer I'd be very concerned about Everton splashing out big, big money on a 26-year-old lol ffs
