We deserve and need to know what they are basing the severity of Omicron on in their modellings

I've been saying this for ages. The argument that the public aren't experts so their opinion is irrelevant isn't particularly democratic...

Wouldn't be surprised to see landlords just completely ignore this potential guidance and just allow people indoors

Wouldn't blame them either

It was bad enough only opening the outside when the weather was decent and we had tents up for bad weather. Have these people missed the storms and winds we had the other week and the fact we are now in Winter……

A half arsed lockdown is a waste of time. Schools open, gyms open, other indoor shops open?

Cases will continue at a high level anyway if all sorts stays open making a lockdown pretty pointless.

Yeah I mean initially it was about the congested people, lots of people breathing heavily, sweating etc, in a confined space... pretty good area for a respiratory illness to spread.

But if everyone is vaccinated/boosted... why's it an issue.

It's just all mad mate. Number 25 made some good points but I'm yet to see anything on what they're actually basing Omicron on. If they just tell us, we're basing it on it being as bad as Delta, then fine, let us know that. And then at least we know the approach.
