If there is still no evidence for serious illness in the 50 million double vaccinated then wouldn't this then benefit the hospitals?
This whole idea of the hospitals being over run and on their arse during this winter.
If patients aren't seriously ill, then their stay will be shorter. Plus the pool of potential hospitalisations will be much smaller based on how many double and triple vaccinated.
So even if a patient does go into hospital, the need to keep them in for long periods of time will shorten? So then even with a high demand , bed turnover will be much quicker if patient can recover at home. So it may mean full capacity at times but it's going to impact much less than this time last year.
We could well be back in a scenario that we have been, the only problem being unvaccinated patients rather than the 50 million vaccinated. So restrictions will be to benefit them rather than all of us who got our jabs.
There is one drum beat being played and now the UK are starting to play it as well. Eventually people will have to accept that omircron is nowhere near as bad as delta was. Mild illness , South Africa are saying it, the experts here are starting to say it. When will people finally listen?
