They're scrapping the red list but bringing in the mandatory daily testing for those who arrive into the country aren't they? That one that's been in place for a few weeks. It's just scrapping the enforced hotel quarantine which is friggin horrible.

Also, telling people to isolate if they're contacts of Omicron cases as Pagel suggests is mental. It is going to be everywhere, you'd cripple the country. You literally wouldn't have any healthcare workers able to work...

... and if they catch COVID, they literally won't be able to work

So what's the solution? Because it isn't what Pagel is saying.

If someone is judged as a close contact of someone with Omicron the rule is they have to do daily tests. This is to avoid a huge proportion of the country isolating for 10 days.

Imagine how many times frontline workers would get judged to be close contacts?

I was with a mate who runs two pubs in Nottingham and he said they are pretty much working on being shut in Jan/Feb

Heard that from two different pubs. One in town and one on the Wirral.

Looking online it seems quite a few housebound people are being missed.

(Middle finger time). Trouble this time is the volunteers are just not as widely available as they were when we began vaccinating program as furlough was running with many people at home with time to spare and wanting to get out. Going have to be paid roles and if you have people.entering vulnerable people's homes they will need DBS. Will take time. Keep an eye on local pharmacies as they do get vaccine batches in, they post up on Facebook round my way, only small runs 30 people or so.
