They're scrapping the red list but bringing in the mandatory daily testing for those who arrive into the country aren't they? That one that's been in place for a few weeks. It's just scrapping the enforced hotel quarantine which is friggin horrible.Indeed, but its the rest of what they are doing that concerns me. They are scrapping the red list too, apparently on the grounds that Omicron is everywhere. As a plan to deal with this it doesn't make much sense, except to get people to do one thing that is required whilst thinking they don't have to do anything else.
Also, telling people to isolate if they're contacts of Omicron cases as Pagel suggests is mental. It is going to be everywhere, you'd cripple the country. You literally wouldn't have any healthcare workers able to work...
