Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

Unfortunately will be a while before they are available but long term the potential of nasal vaccines for both Covid and flu looks very promising.

Ineos, who I work for, have decided to make it compulsory to wear a mask at your desk if you have not had the vaccinations you are entitled to. In fact anywhere on site.

I know of one lad who has refused and given up his £375/day job and left site. Some expensive principles people have.
I'm not sure it's feasible to have principles and work for Ineos, is it?

“It was December 15 – three days before a gathering now being probed – and the PM was flanked by two members of his top team, although they were not drinking. One was wearing a Santa hat and the other draped in tinsel.”

The barsteward should be hung, drawn and quartered…ffs this is just getting silly now…..

I actually agree with this. Over saturation of this story about various parties will diminish the actual wrong doing; which is that Johnson openly and willingly lied to parliament and the public.

No matter your opinions of the party itself (in either sense), that should leave a bitter taste.

Indeed…..

It really is ridiculous - like don't these people all work in that same room, they were one of the only places that was required for all of them to be there?

Like you said, it's more the lies and the cowardice etc. But we already knew that with Johnson and his cronies.

I'd love him to go but I have no idea that the next person would be better because the whole lot are just terrible. And as idiotic as he was at the start of this, COVID wise he's looked to strike a balance in 2021 between over-caution and being more liberal with it. Now it's far, far from perfect (and most of it makes no sense but I think that about every country's various restrictions tbh), but I'm worried with this Tory mob we'd either get in some lockdown nutter or a freak who will have the vaccine roll out shut down and anyone wearing a mask handed a 12-month prison sentence.
