More BS profiteering from the pandemic..

Oh look. An actor trying to get involved in economics.

I’m going to guess that the controls in place at quarantine hotel are probably a bit more stringent than another one. Or that Gatwick is going to be more expensive than a hotel at an industrial park.

But yeah, sorry it’s not a Michelin star restaurant.

I mean, he's got a point though.

It's not a friggin prison

You're going to have people paying like £2.5k for 10 days in a hotel room, it's wrong. A family of four that could be £10k through no fault of their own.

People shouldn't have to isolate for 10 days coming from any country. It should be the same rules for all - 2 day PCR test to release. It's ludicrous.

Everyone knows the risk. It’s fairly obvious that there is a chance of quarantine. Let alone if it’s already clear.

Don’t moan about it after the fact.

The gouging at these places has been remarkable; yet another thing they've gotten wrong. In fact its so bad that Priti Patel had a much better idea, which would have been cheaper, more fair and more secure than this daftness (basically fitting anyone who flew back in with GPS ankle-tags, then letting them stay at home).

but they didn't know the risk in this case did they?

South Africa wasn't on the amber list for example? It literally went from being fine to being on the red list in the space of 24 hours.

Mate, it is not right. Look at what you're saying. You're saying people should have to fork out thousands of pounds to pay for what is essentially a prison cell and, to boot, they should get crap to eat too, all for the audacity of daring to go away?

Nah, I don't agree at all. There's no reason why 2-day or 2 and 4-day testing to release couldn't be done. We're two years into this. If you test negative on a PCR 2 days after arriving into the country - guess what, you haven't got friggin COVID.

What about someone who lives abroad and their country happens to turn red list just before they're due back here or something?

And this isn't exclusive to the UK, it's every country. Your flippant response shows what ludicrous things this has done to people's minds.
