Here in Vegas, the panic buying lasted about a week. There was no TP, meat, milk, eggs, bottled water etc. to be found anywhere.

Now it's calmed down. Yesterday and today the store near me had everything in stock (some more than others) all except eggs.

I'd like to think things will settle down a bit in parts of the UK by next week or so.

Have they closed Teriyaki boy?

The more we see and hear about this it is absolutely surreal.
It is like the worst horror/disaster film you could imagine. But it's real life.

Very true. And if anyone is in doubt how serious this thing can be - even for the young and very fit:

It's absolutely crazy £1billion worth of extra food being horded. Survival of the greediest. Generally we are supposed to be trying to protect our most vulnerable, regardless of age.

This should be pushed more in the media much much more, just to educate people of the dangers. Otherwise the NHS will have to decide who gets treatment and who dies

That's going to happen anyway. It was inevitable when they decided not to check people coming into the country from affected areas.

Very disappointing that they'd react in in such a manner. Trying to work out what set them off there - perhaps they'd like to explain.
Quite simple really, he keeps on cry-arsing about having to sit tight for a bit and help look after his family.
There is a lot worse happening out there to lots of other people, and this is how we stop it.

I suggest that you stop watching/listening to the news. It's stressful if you listen too long. I've turned off this weekend and the sun came out, birds were tweeting and you feel far better for it. We need to put this into context, it's not the end of the world.
