my point is not on the viability of lockdowns, but on the efficacy of vaccinations, which looks dubious at best.

im saying that because its clear even with lower death rates, the world is extremely uncomfortable with high case levels alone.

Possibly, on the face of it that might seem the best route, but I'm sure there are variables that would have to be considered that are beyond my own extremely limited knowledge of the situation.

Omicron at least seems to have encouraged a few more locally to go get boosted, the news that it has been found in SF will presumably increase that.

I’m my god this new variant is outrageous, the whole county must lockdown and get fully vaccinated immediately, it’s so scary it’s like they are putting it out there to do just that.
