It wont last as it not sustainable for business's and the economy.

Lets say businesses now only get 70% of people through the doors because the other 30% aren't allowed to go, Bars/Restaraunts/Cinemas/Hotels/airlines.....they wont last 12 months before they go under.
All these will be lifted around April or May I reckon. But will be a tough winter. Lots of protests I can foresee in NL, GER and AUT.

Confining people to their homes until vaccinated.

Whatever next, visible badges to be worn, identifying the un vaccinated ?

Absurd holocaust references aside, this sort of thing is a consequence of governments across the world going down the “once everyone’s vaccinated we can go back to normal” route.

If enough of a % of a society don’t or can’t do that, it won’t work and the tide of death will continue albeit at a mostly reduced rate.

Governments know that so they’ll try and force people into doing it, which just gives these cretins more oxygen (sadly only metaphorically as many of them will experience a lack of oxygen thanks to this disease). If only more governments had been more sensible then so much damage - human, economic, moral - could have been avoided.

I do agree with you mate, but singling a group of people out for special treatment, never ends well.

Oh ffs
(CNN)Uptake of the Covid-19 vaccine has, unfortunately, become partisan like so much else in our society. Almost every Democratic adult (90% to 95%) has gotten a shot, while a little less than two-thirds of Republican adults have.
That partisanship appears to have transferred to at least one other important vaccination. An examination of flu shot data suggests that which party people belong to is highly correlated with whether they have or will get a flu shot this season -- something that was not predictive of flu shot uptake the last few years.

Take a look at two recent polls that have asked about whether or not people have gotten the flu shot: Axios/Ipsos and Kaiser Family Foundation. By assessing two polls instead of one, we know what we're seeing is a real phenomenon and not statistical noise. According to the Ipsos data, 68% of Democrats said they have gotten a flu shot or are very likely to get one. Just 44% of Republicans said the same. This 24-point gap is very similar to the 30-point gap for Covid-19 vaccines.

Deteriorating and worrying picture over here, hearing today our positivity rate on just under 25k tests is 18%, that's almost 1 in every 5 being tested, is testing positive, indicates widespread community transmission.

Regressive measures incoming, I would think....................

It's also a lot to do with governments absurdly panicking now. COVID is going to be here this time next year too, are they going to be doing the same thing?

It sweeps across in waves, then dies off, then comes back. Each time the waves seem to be less and less, or at least don't last as long - a lot of that is to do with immunity, whatever way that is gained. Yet they panic and do things like this.

I'm pro vaccine, people should do it unless they have medical reasons not to, definitely. But stuff like this only feeds into the anti vaxxers.

I have my doubts that the Government have the will go down the lockdown route, the last lockdown was a joke a lot people didn’t stick to it no reason to think that a future lockdown will be adhered to. for a lockdown to work schools have to be closed meaning someone has to be at home to mind the children, there will be riots on the streets if they do that again. I work in a School and I really hope it doesn't come to that again.
They might roll back the latest restrictions to be lifted such as pubs and night clubs.
