Apologies if my eariler figure was unfortunately incorrect, 11 was being widely reported, must have been live figures from throughout the UK coming in. Seems it was just Wales, Scotland and the North.

Even the minister responsible in Parliament has gotten confused with the way they are reporting the figures!

I guess its your definition.

Have I panic bought and lobbed tons of food in the trolly despite being fit and healthy? No.

Have I made sure there is enough healthy food and essentials, inc meds, in the house by lobbing one or two extra items in my basket each day for 2 or 3 weeks? Yes. Been doing it for 6 weeks.
I have 3 full cupboards and full chest freezer, but its like that all year round,I always buy a couple of extra things, that is down to previous circumstance where I was left with no food,so I make sure there is plenty in if it happens again

they’re desperate for him to say he’s putting troops on the streets who are going to shoot hoarders and that there is no food left . Journalists are lucky trump isn’t there , it’d proper go off

Aye the media love to whip up a storm like, why cant they just let the experts do their kin jobs?

If you've been skint.. Like proper skint.. buying 2 weeks worth of tinned food with your Giro was the norm.
That mind set NEVER leaves you.

Just bring in tougher measures already, People are already gallivanting on the beach just because it's sunny and think a pandemic is a joke.

Surely aslong as us sensible folk are isolating then whatever other folk do has no effect on us?

The government have enough on their plate dealing with this than to be constantly having to deal with a rabid media obsessed with what the neighbours next door are doing.

I personally want more questions on the long term strategy both in fighting the virus, the economy, help for the self employed and more importantly any progress on a cure than sensational headlines about police taking the streets to save the loo roll.

Regular readers will know why I have been prudent, but I/we have been in a similar predicament as you. We are not isolated, geographically, but 2 miles from the nearest town, so bad weather is not our friend neither, so put the two together, and I felt it the responsible thing to do.

What is it with British people that there’s so many who can seemingly only comprehend realities when they’re smack bang in front of their effing face? Is it just exceptionalism? An inability to actually understand stuff? Or just plain selfish bloody mindedness?

It isn’t just here, Australians all on the beach, American’s all went to spring break, Italians haven’t been following the rules, hence why they closed parks yesterday.

Between the risk of earthquakes/wildfires and our electricity going out for multiple days to try to avoid sparking wildfires I’ve learnt over the past few years to have full cupboards!

Sadly a lot of people can’t afford to, hopefully some of the unused supplies find their way to food-banks.

It doesn't but it will slow the spread and if people took it seriously it could be possible to be not even close to Italy levels but because we're panic buying and having bloody picnics on the beach it'll get serious sooner or later and I hope them people feel guilty all because they couldn't stay in doors, Even if you don't have symptoms just stay indoors unless necessary ffs, The British public are such smug arseholes.

There was a massive study done a few years back. No benefit for vitamin supplementation unless you have a deficiency.

Nothing horribly wrong with taking them so long as it’s kept to recommend daily allowances as many are very toxic if you get too much.
But nothing good will come of it either so a waste of money and could give a false sense of security.
Really? If that's true I've just wasted a fortune
