I think there’s quite a high proportion of conspiracy tin foil hat types here. And the government hasn’t made enough effort to either win them over or force their hand a little bit. Also I think generally they don’t seem to organise it well either.
Perhaps the people there are more americanised in their ideas on, for example, freedom.
Anti vaxers and maskers are here too but France is now approaching 90% double jabbed. Top up proceeding well too.
Cases on the increase but that an be put down to more mixing due to tous saintes holiday period.

Will you be mask free even indoors when you hit %100?

Here in Portugal there’s hardly anyone left to vaccinate. Quite mad the differences.

Yeah maybe. Hard to put a finger on why really. But yes it seems the French government has done a much better job

TBF they’ve got much greater capacity to do things, though “TousAntiCOVID” is a much better app than ours (also Doctolib is something the NHS should copy too)
Yeah I don't really know too much about what the French have done in detail. But it's clear they did a really good job getting their vax rate up as I can remember a lot was made of their anti vax movement.

Probably easier to organise a single Republic than a county made up of semi autonomous states.
On the organisation side, yes definitely. And the regional governments are not populated with the most dynamic politicians. Not sure that explains why there are so any tinfoil hat wearers here though.

I think a lot of their COVID skepticism was around that long haired doctor who started the hydroxychloroquine thing, which although he was wrong it did at least result in people recognising it (COVID) exists.
