Hospital figures - 114 deaths were announced today, down 24 on yesterday and up 18 on last Wednesday. 77 deaths were in English hospitals, down 55 on yesterday and up 13 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to 93.57

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 136 deaths were announced today, down 45 on yesterday and down 7 on last Wednesday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 112.14

For the 60 day cut off, 172 deaths were announced today, down 47 on yesterday and down 4 on last Wednesday. The 7 day rolling average falls slightly to 140.29

Absolutely chilling that.

Mad how they've gone complete dictator. Especially as they're still basing it, it seems, on this mad idea that the vaccines stop the spread. I honestly cannot believe how mentally wrong they have got every single thing since the first part of the lockdown (when all they actually did well was time their lockdown right and, as me and a few others were consistently pointing out, had the luck of being hundreds of miles away from literally anywhere else)

I want people to get vaccinated. You can't mandate it though. You can do other things, 'limit' whatever people can do (I'm no fan of that btw I just think it's the best option if the aim is to get everyone vaccinated), but it's just gone completely bonkers now.

Anti-vaxers are idiots. But the other mob aren't any better.

Yes you should.
Everyone age 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine.

In the UK, the NHS (fairly so too) doesn't give out flu jabs to those under 50 (barring certain medical conditions), albeit that's probably been expanded now to key workers etc.

For people outside of those categories, prices range from £15 - 25 depending on what pharmacy you go to. Not saying people shouldn't get it, or it's too much or whatever, but a lot probably don't know.

Just stating CDC recommendations.
Not too dissimilar in US. Affordable Care Act requires the vaccine be free to patient, but not everyone knows that or may not realize their insurance requires you get it at a specific facility to get it free

Yeah, I only knew because my dad has been getting it for a few years (he gets it for free, being over 50).

I'm going to get mine this season. I won't be getting a COVID booster as I'm not over 50 and not a healthcare worker

May be slightly different in GB but here in NI all children aged 2 and up to the end of primary school get the flu vaccine.

Actually this year they’re also rolling it out to years 8-12 in secondary schools.

Wouldn't surprise me if we all get offered the COVID booster mate once the elderly, vulnerable and front line staff have had theirs.

Kids get it in school now. Or at least in my daughters primary school.
