Yeah I think the same when fatties who gorge themselves on junk food and don’t exercise end up with type 2 diabetes or heart disease. Same with those alcoholics and their failed livers. Or the smokers with their lung cancer.
This Herman Cain point scoring BS is really beneath anyone who considers themselves a good human and needs to stop.
That’s fair, especially in countries with socialized health care where resources are oftentimes very limited. No offence but your comment misses my point.
You can talk about contagious diseases effecting others all you want- I don’t disagree. However I’m talking about people’s poor life choices impacting our healthcare system and wasting resources- a point to which there is literally no dispute.
Cos throwing poison down their necks only harms themselves. Its an interesting point, how many people in this thread criticise mask or vaccine sceptics while throwing literal poison down their necks every weekend.
Alcohol kills far more people than not wearing a mask.
Cos throwing poison down their necks only harms themselves.
Not wearing a mask or not getting a vaccine harms EVERYBODY.
Knew this would be your comeback. The NHS spends hundreds of millions treating alcohol related ailments every year, so that’s really not true.

Bellends are bellends, blaming drink is just easy.Tell that to everyone that’s suffered from domestic abuse as a result of alcoholism.
Bellends are bellends, blaming drink is just easy.
But if we could give people a vaccine to not be a woman beating piece of garbage, you would support it, right?
I mean im not blind, smoking and drinking are bad, health-wise, the reason you mentioned above, its all sorts of wrong.Yes I would.
Knew this would be your comeback.
In 2020/21, tobacco duty tax receipts in the United Kingdom amounted to approximately 9.96 billion British pounds
In 2020/21, tax receipts from alcohol duties in the United Kingdom amounted to approximately 12.12 billion British pounds
You seem to be mixing up people dying with people being treated for preventable illness, easy mistake to make.
I mean it is, as above, im not defending people drinking and smoking, I dont drink, I dont like the whole drinking culture, I smoke and like a bit of cake, they are my choice, they only affect me, sure at some point they will kill me, make me require hospital treatment no doubt, but im ok with that, my vices currently only affect me.Alcohol costs the NHS several billion pounds per year, and the tax receipts generated through alcohol sales could be generated through alternative sources without the need for illness and death.
Your argument is naive.

But knowing im vaccinated means im helping to protect myself and others.
I dont see why the financial aspect of this matters, life doesnt have a price.
I think there’s a difference between someone who has a disease like alcoholism and someone who is just plain ignorant. We’re both on the same page about Covid mert. I suppose what I’m getting at is a lot of the people who are dying from Covid due to not being vaccinated are not doing so from a bad place. People who get taken in by these Covid lies aren’t acting with malice, they are just misinformed and often led astray. Just like how people with alcohol issues don’t generally do it from a bad place, just life and a experiences happen.
