If you know anyone working in the NHS or any emergency or utility services, you’d know the absolute madness that is taking place at the moment and it’s not even properly hit yet.

This will effect everybody in some way.
It’s not scaremongering to say everyone should prepare themselves mentally for the next few months.

I fully appreciate the efforts that the Health Sector are putting in. I also understand the actions of those putting others at risk because of overdoing the situation and causing stockpiling, panic and economic ruin....

Business is coping Pete. It will adapt and continue. This is not government's scaremongering or pandering to the media frenzy. The measures being taken are in response to lessons learnt from other countries who are 2 - 3 weeks ahead of us,

I think the government had a plan then it got overturned. Perhaps by events or lessons learnt, and I agree that cities will go into lockdown, but without ever knowing if the original plan as presented by the CMO and CSA would have worked....

This isn't serious, I mean I am most at risk by this but the damage it will cause is too much, I am only thinking about what it will do to you, everyone else is blind.

Pete that plan would have killed tens of thousands of extra deaths (from this and from the lack of care available to non-COVID patients), if not the low hundreds of thousands.

If that is the price that is acceptable to keep the economy near where it was - even though the damage to the global economy would have trashed it anyway - then please have the gumption to say that.
