Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

Had to take the wife to the hospital tonight due to a suspected miscarriage. Second one in Covid times.

Wasn't allowed in with her. So utterly frustrating and cruel.

How is the world supposed to move on?
So sorry to hear mate, where’s the humility in that. Ridiculous and beyond cruel.

If you refuse a vaccine you should be moved down the priority list for any medical care if you get sick from covid. You are making a decision fair enough.. the consequences of your decision are yours to shoulder and shouldn't have a negative impact on others.
Could use the same logic for someone who drinks alcohol and seriously injures them self, or speeding drivers.

By his logic anybody who drinks alcohol at all should be moved down the priority list because it’s a choice to put poison with a whole host of negative health effects into your body. (I drink)

But that’s not how the NHS works.

No, they will just stop releasing the figures
Yeah - That's a real effective way of dealing with it

Didn't say it was, but this bizarre obsession people have with sending people back into a lockdown is ridiculous.

COVID19 will become another version of the common cold, joining Coronavirus, Rhinovirus etc. We are far past the aim of eradicating it

Some sections of the press are already almost falling over themselves with their "new " lockdown predictions.

Unless the hospitals hit crisis point again, it won`t happen, as after 18 mths there`s no political or public appetite for it - apart from the usual curtain twitchers.

Problem is the hospitals will be at crisis point in winter. They were struggling quite a few times in winters before covid even existed.

Will be interesting to see what happens.
