I am using the data provided by the government.

All I am doing is comparing two statistics and they are;

If vaccinated what is P(B|A) where A = you are infected and B is chance of death

If unvaccinated what is P(B|A) where A = you are infected and B is chance of death

This is one of many important statistics that must be considered when measuring effectiveness of vaccine.

I don't think I am being disingenuous with the data here, or trying to cherry pick anything, like I said this is the official gvmt data. If they release the % of people vaccinated then I can use that too, but they haven't.

I know you are using the data from the government, and for the reasons already described you are wrong to draw the conclusion that you have.

Without knowing how many people are vaccinated you cannot say that the vaccine is essentially useless based solely on the number of cases and the number of deaths.

I have already said that was the wrong phrasing to use.

Like I said it is one statistic out of many that helps us build a picture of effectiveness of vaccine.

We don't know exact figures of who is and isn't vaccinated (if we do please link them) so does that render every statistic out there useless?

It doesn't objectively prove that. You just have a different opinion on what those posts represent. I see mostly only minor-degree shifts. When I look at other Fora, I see a colossal 180° shift. Far more of a shift than anything I've ever posted (which I'd class around 45°-90° deviation from this thread's consensus).

You couldn’t apparently name the right wing posters on here a week ago, and to pretend this is an echo chamber itself requires you to not recognise that there is a variety of opinion so I am quite confident that you don’t read all the posts.

And that is the problem: instead of accepting I see things differently your brain simply denies that possibility, as it cannot compute this difference.
