As soon as the Qld PM lifts the 'hold / ban' on Hotel Quarantine, he's going to 'book them all in do the 2 weeks...its just working from home in another room...rent his Melbourne place out, re-rent in Brisbane and put the kids in a local school.
He put this to the 3 kids, 12, 10, 7, expecting opposition, but they were ok with it, they're sick of home school / no school and would rather make new friends than have no friends, no sports, no 'kall.
It was actually his wife's idea.
He said to her the other night...you're busy on that laptop to night.
Yep, I'm looking at Brisbane schools...and told him the plan
Anyway he said - yep I'm good with that...like I had a choice
Happy wife - Happy life.
And I dont think he'll be the only one thinking the same.
People are fed up with Chairman Dan and his Socialist State of Danistan...or Victoria as it used to be called.

If I agreed with you, we’d both be wrong.
As with all vaccines part of the idea is for enough people to get the vaccine so those who can't have the vaccine can go about their lives.
No but you start vaccines and put co2 monitors in classrooms - they cost about a score.
When they beep - everyone out for 10 mins.
Even that would make a difference. Letting kids get infected without knowing it is just neglect imho.
Three actually - as blind luck would have it though two are moving into a brand new school with excellent ventilation this September.
They've been in prefabs for years before that. Last year they had windows and doors open all winter.
The common contraception pill and many other readily available medicines are more likely to give you a blood clot than the AZ vaccine was meant to do.
This won’t apply to many kids.
And in the meantime what do the rest of the unvaccinated kids, who are in poorly ventilated schools do ?
Home school, until they’re vaccinated and the school buildings have been modified, sometime in 2022 ?
Do their parents remain off work with them too ?
You’re talking about an ideal world, which unfortunately we don’t live in and won’t anytime soon.

No there should be no need for mass home schooling - that would a massively failure if we have to go back to that.
We have to start vaccinating kids asap. Get co2 monitors in every classroom and if someone is a contact make sure the family know so they can take precautions.
Otherwise another lockdown is probably inevitable.
I do wonder how much that plays a part in some of the observed gender differences in vaccine take up which are in some ages close to 10% lower in men despite men being more at risk of worse Covid outcomes. Lots of women have already had that “are the blood clot risks of the pill worth the benefits” mental discussion and opted for the pill so the hurdle for the vaccine might be lower.
