What are the main issues? A quick look on twitter and some are suggesting an even harsher lockdown. The current measures look pretty harsh.
She is starting to do now what she should have done 6 weeks ago.
She has spent the last year slamming other states for locking down when they have 2 or 3 cases, so as soon as NSW got some cases, she avoided lockdowns and basically just asked people nicely if they wouldn't mind social distancing, especially since it started in the more affluent Eastern suburbs. Of course it got out of hand, over 100 new cases every day for the past couple of weeks, so she is starting to do lockdown properly now.

If she had not been so stubborn and followed what Vic and WA do at the very start, they would have been out of lockdown 3 weeks ago

I think this is very similar to what was seen in Scotland. There were spikes, especially after the England Scotland game which saw thousands come to London and have zero respect for social distancing. The rates since then have dropped loads after the got knocked out of the tournament
I'd also surmise that with most schools in England breaking up between a week and eleven days ago a reduction in cases may have been predictable.

While children will still socialise with others outside of school, there's a big difference between 30+ in a classroom* and outside or in their friends' houses.

*more with rotation in high schools

The uninsured under 65 category surprises me. Even though it probably wouldn’t be astronomically expensive if people were asked to pay out of pocket for it, this vaccine may literally be the only truly free health care most Americans will ever have access to. Seems like people would want to take advantage.

Especially given what happens if they get it and then need hospitalisation.

How can anyone who is uninsured afford what could be weeks there with ventilator treatment.

Do think masks should be in use until next year in fairness. I went the cinema on Tuesday and was the only one who walked in wearing one no one else or the staff had them on so took mine off as felt a bit daft.

Yeah I also take it off, watching a good film while masking is like a torture, many followed suit in the cinema. People do not blame each other if they fall sick anymore, its the nature of our life. [Poor language removed] happens.

Nobody wears them in the screens and they haven't since they reopened earlier this year. Up until recently you'd get most people wearing them in the lobby but thats dropped to pretty much zero.
