Seen a few Pubs on twitter saying no masks and no social diatancing like Pubs should be.

yeah, same. Obviously that is true but not really fair on the staff given how high the figures are at the moment.

A lot seem to be offering table service if people want it too.

It's nonsense. Confusing messaging from the government, a desire to not make conclusive or clear steps for fear of being seen a draconian. These aren't the public's fault, it's the government's and the messaging. It's like saying that it's the public's fault for driving everywhere when public transport has been underfunded by the government.

The current covid way of life is depressing. I hope that at some point normality can resume. I'm not a tin hat covid denier nutter but I do think we'll struggle to get some of the old freedoms back.

I wouldn't be surprised if they make both vaccination and regular testing mandatory at some point in the future.
You could be right on both counts. I maybe a tad cynical, but people have short memories and many will barely remember what exactly the freedoms where that they don't have
#thenewnormal

If the last 18 months has taught me anything it's that a lot of people, who are mostly left wing as well which baffles me as I like to think left wing people are generally more for freedoms, being able to express yourself etc, get absolute hard ons for being told they shouldn't leave the house.
Tbh that is a odd statement re the initial topic of indoor masking in Israel - it is precisely because they want everyone to be able to leave the house (ie reduce the chance of future lockdowns or business closures) that they are reintroducing the mask mandate and people were supporting the decision!

Seems sensible to me (and also what California did when lifted state mask mandate) but feel for the NHS staff trying to enforce it on some bellends

The government leaving bottom run employees to enforce rules because they're so terrified of losing votes

Pathetic and entirely expected - They've been doing this through the whole thing

TBF that Rees-Mogg was almost veering into anti-mask territory earlier in the week, so it’s more like politicking rather than cowardice.
