In other news, this is the 'delta variant' symptom list...

Diarrhoea
Runny nose
Aches and pains
Headache

Vomiting
Sore throat
Being tired

So basically, this ain't COVID anymore, is it...

None of the symptoms are the same. Nothing about breathing difficulties, nothing about a cough or a fever.

You know what 'delta' is - it's a bloody seasonal sickness and diarrohea bug.

And it's spreading around like wildfire, and PCRs aren't even picking it up (some are, some aren't.)

Ludicrous.
I get half those symptoms just from being in work each day...

and have to listen to plenty of verbal diarrhoea...

There's too much smoke for the covid pass now and hospitality is gearing up for it.

Get vaccinated or you can't do anything. That's basically it.
Yes, its going to happen im sure. I work in construction and I've a feeling as soon as one Tier 1 company suggests it, then they will all jump aboard and you'll have to have a double jab to be on site..

The problem with normalising a fear of low death figures is the mental health toll it'll take on thousands of people.

As in if you teach people to fear a situation where 50 people a day are dying of it, then thousands will be agoraphobic wrecks long term.
Absolutely. I hate busy places now (always have to be fair) and its a good excuse not to go there! I will be wearing a mask in supermarkets still and using sanitizer religiously. Although I've used sanitizer with the kids in public places for ages way before covid was a thing, as the general public are disgusting! lol

Well I welcome the medical update stuff. And I dont need a politician to tell me what my personal responsibility is. Trouble is, this will not be shared I fear; witness last night in London.
Mouth breathing festival come the 19th. If you are not clinically vulnerable probably just get away with long covid worst case.
If you are clinically vulnerable this government no longer cares, and good luck!

Standard flu deaths were from 30-70 a day over a year. So is that where the government currently are? I think thats where they are heading as an 'acceptable' figure...
To me, From day one, there has been an intermittent Govt. 'Body Language' that has kept on reappearing over the months about getting it down to 'acceptable levels'.
But plenty got side tracked...and still are fixated on getting it down to effectively zero - which will never happen

Somewhere around an average of 30 a day over a year wouldn't be a horrendous number. People who talk about zero deaths seem to forget that over 500,000 die per year in the UK.

The acceptance of freedoms and rights should also include the acceptance of responsibilities. Too much me me attitude around.
Woah, I didn't say we didn't need to lockdown - albeit, there's some people who have gone dangerously close to basically saying they want some kind of dictatorship.

My point was, we've all given up a lot, everyone around the world, in one way or another. People getting on their high horse thinking they could tell others what was and wasn't important to them is one thing, but we all know we had to do some things to try and combat this thing.

So, in the name of public health, I don't think the courts would suddenly decide someone who runs a pub not letting unvaccinated people in would be illegal.

I had to have a lateral flow test this morning before i was allowed onto a Wilmott Dixon site.

I work in a construction office once a week (not on site), and have to lateral flow the night before too.

Albeit, they're next to useless, unless you're absolutely riddled with covid, it seems.

If you are clinically vulnerable you've been double vaccinated for months and will be getting a booster in the autumn.

Sure, they don't care.

Haha!

In all seriousness, I've had those symptoms for months. I'm always getting that – I had really bad throat and ear issues when I was younger from a severe bout of tonsilitis. Finally got my tonsils taken out when I was about 12, but whenever I get a cold, my ears and throat still kill.

I'm just being as sensible as I can be with it now but that list of symptoms is absolute drivel. It's literally everything under the sun, might as well have included broken bones in it.

Utterly nuts

What’s more is that the leadership of the Tennessee Department of Health has reacted to the sabre rattling from the Government Operations Committee by halting ALL vaccination outreach for children. Not just COVID-19 vaccine outreach for teens, but ALL communications around vaccines of any kind. No back-to-school messaging to the more than 30,000 parents who did not get their children measles vaccines last year due to the pandemic. No messaging around human papilloma virus vaccine to the residents of the state with one of the highest HPV cancer rates in the country.
